Dr. Heather Lapham, of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Research Labs of Archaeology, discusses the process of designing and installing museum displays at the Catawba Cultural Center combining archaeological materials from UNC, artifacts from the Catawba Nation Archives, and collaboration between Dr. Lapham's team and the Cultural Center staff.

Chef Dave McCluskey provides a brief overview of the importance of corn to indigenous people, and the traditional methods used for nixtamalization to improve the nutritional value of native corn. This brief talk was presented at a dinner featuring foods prepared with Catawba corn for the first time in living memory.
